A friend and colleague, Dr. Sarah Salviander, an astronomer, along with several family members have just started a new blog/ministry regarding faith and science, called “SixDay Science.” No, they are not advocating Young Earth Creationism, but you will have to read their “About” page to learn why the name.
They just started today and it is an outgrowth of their journey through science that led them each to faith independently. I think it will make a good addition to the literature out there about the issue as they have a real vision for educating rather than polemicizing the issues. I have invited Sarah to do a guest blog about it in the near future, but wanted to help advertise it as soon as possible.
Also, for those in the Central Texas area, Dr. Gerald Schroeder, the Jewish physicist (MIT) and theologian will be speaking at UT in room ECJ 1.202 on the origins of humanity on Tuesday March 8, from 7-8. He is the author of such books as The Science of God,The Hidden Face of God, and Genesis and the Big Bang. His works were instrumental in leading famed British scientist Antony Flew from ardent atheism to theism of some form, and, more locally, in helping Sarah to become a Christian. Come and invite anyone with an interest in the subject!
